The Santa Rosa Mineral and Gem Society is a non-profit organization formed for the purpose of increasing the knowledge and understanding of the science pertaining to minerals, gems, and other similar materials; to the art of cutting, grinding and polishing those materials; to the classifiation of minerals and rocks; and to encourage and assist Junior Members in furthering their interest in mineralology, archaeology, paleontology, geology and related subjects.

The Gem-N-I is quickly becoming a fast growing resource for Sonoma County's rockhounds and Gem and Mineral enthusiasts!

What's new on the site?
Did you notice our beautifully colored logo at the top of the page? Thanks to the hard work of Steve & Josh, SRMGS has a beautiful logo we can all wear proudly on 100% cotton tshirts.Get your official SRMGS T-shirt!! Sizes are available in Youth & Adult sizes (up to XXL). There is also a WOMEN's CUT available for those "hot" rockhoundess's (yay I made up a word) in your life. Womens sizing available from S-3XL so even us rounder rocks can show off :o)

Want to take a more active role in the club without being a board memeber? There are a variety of COMMITTEE positions opening up that will need to be filled shortly. Primarily people interseted in working on our 2008 Gem Show. If you are interested in being part of a committee, speak to one of the board members or send an email to TOM.

Deadlines for Newsletter submissions are 16th of the month. Submit your articles and suggestions via email to webmaster(@) Gem-N-I.org. (Due to spammers I had to remove the direct link to email me).
